Your mission

The Finance & HR Intern will support the Finance and HR team in the day-to-day management of financial and human resources operations. This internship provides hands-on experience in nonprofit financial management, accounting systems, payroll processes, compliance, and HR administration.

Under the supervision of the Finance & HR team, the intern will contribute to ensuring accurate financial recordkeeping, compliance with donor requirements, and efficient HR documentation processes.

1. Finance Support

The intern will:
  • Assist with processing supplier payments and ensuring all supporting documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Organize, file, and maintain financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, contracts, and payment records.
  • Scan and upload financial documents daily to Google Drive, ensuring proper digital archiving.
  • Support data entry and maintenance of financial records in QuickBooks.
  • Monitor daily bank and cash transactions and assist with reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting documents for internal review and donor reporting.
  • Support the team during internal and external audits by gathering required documentation.
  • Help ensure compliance with donor guidelines and internal financial policies and procedures.
  • Track project expenditures and assist in monitoring project budgets.

2. Human Resources Support

The intern will:
  • Assist in maintaining employee records, contracts, and CNSS documentation.
  • Support payroll preparation and HR-related payment processes.
  • Assist with onboarding new staff and maintaining complete HR files.
  • Help ensure compliance with internal HR policies and procedures.
  • Support preparation of HR-related documentation for audits and donor reporting.
  • Assist with filing, organizing, and maintaining personnel records.

Your profile

Qualifications

  • Background or current studies in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, HR, or related field

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 

  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

  • Strong communication skills and willingness to learn

Duration

  • Internship duration: 3 months

  • The internship includes a monthly stipend

  • Location: Project Soar HQ

  • Start Date: 18/03/2026
