Your mission

Project Soar is seeking a short-term consultant and a long-term staff position in Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) will support the implementation and continuous improvement of the organization’s monitoring, evaluation, learning, and reporting systems across programs and grants

The role is responsible for ensuring accurate data collection, analysis, reporting, knowledge management, and grant tracking to support program quality, accountability, and informed decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Evaluation Systems

  • Implement and maintain monitoring and evaluation tools, databases, and reporting trackers for assigned programs and grants.

  • Conduct routine data verification, cleaning, and quality control to ensure accuracy and completeness of datasets.

  • Monitor program indicators, deliverables, and implementation progress against approved work plans and grant requirements.

  • Develop and maintain dashboards and data visualizations to support program monitoring and management.

  • Coordinate with program staff and partners to ensure timely submission and consolidation of program data.

Reporting and Data Analysis

  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative program data and produce clear reports highlighting findings, trends, challenges, and recommendations.

  • Support the preparation and submission of donor reports and other organizational reporting requirements.

  • Compile and organize data and supporting documentation required for program reviews, audits, and grant compliance.

  • Ensure consistency between reported results, supporting evidence, and grant indicators.


Learning and Knowledge Management

  • Document lessons learned, success stories, challenges, and best practices from program implementation.

  • Coordinate periodic learning and review sessions with internal teams to strengthen program quality and adaptive management.

  • Support internal knowledge-sharing processes to ensure findings and recommendations are communicated across teams.

  • Contribute to strengthening a culture of learning, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making within the organization


Grant and Program Support

  • Support the development of indicators, targets, and reporting frameworks for new grant proposals and program activities.

  • Participate in grant kick-off meetings and project review meetings to support alignment on deliverables, timelines, and indicators.

  • Monitor grant implementation timelines, deliverables, and reporting deadlines in coordination with program teams.

  • Support program implementation activities as needed, including field visits, follow-up actions, and coordination support.

Your profile

Required Experience

  • 5–7+ years in Monitoring, Evaluation & Learning (MEL) or related roles
  • Experience designing and managing M&E systems, tools, and databases
  • Strong skills in data analysis, reporting, and data quality control
  • Familiarity with donor reporting and grant compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of indicators, results frameworks, and learning systems
  • Experience in knowledge management and documentation of lessons learned
  • Ability to develop dashboards and support evidence-based decision-making
